Code of Conduct

CODE OF CONDUCT

At this site, we respect the verities of free speech. We want to encourage as many comments as possible. Currently you only need to type your name, your email address, and your message to post. There is no long registration process, and you don’t need to wait for posts to be approved.

At the same time, however, no reasonable discourse may take place if personal attacks replace civilized discourse. This site is a community — only members may comment — and we want every member to feel comfortable and welcome here.

While members enjoy the right to express themselves freely, please keep in mind that every person who has shared his or her opinion has done so selflessly and generously. That alone deserves our admiration. Above all, please exercise restraint, civility and courtesy toward others.

Comments
This site has several volunteer administrators/moderators who, at any given time, may delete any comments that violates these guidelines or that are inappropriate. Anything that is considered to be mean-spirited or inflammatory will also be deleted.

Trolls (people who disrupt online discussions to draw attention to themselves and upset others in a selfish manner) NOT WELCOME here.

Disagreement, on the other hand, is welcome and encouraged. Feel free to disagree with anything that is posted here, but please try to be polite. Constructive criticism is always welcome too.

Report Violations
But we can’t do it all alone. We need your help in reporting abusive behavior. If you see any activity that appears to violate the code of conduct, please let us know by emailing us. We’ll see to it ASAP.

Unacceptable language
Please don’t post comments that are obscene, illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, untrue, or invasive of someone else’s privacy. There is absolutely no need to make any sort of personal attacks when posting a comment. Posting comments with any profanity included is strictly NOT permitted. While we don’t enjoy censoring comments, we also feels that there’s absolutely no need to include profanity when leaving comments.

Screen names
Choose a screen name and blog name that is in good taste. Please pick a name that is not vulgar or obscene or that misrepresents you to other users. Comments from members with improper screen names will be deleted and added to the spam filter.

Copyrights
Please don’t post material that you don’t have the right to publish or violate any copyright or other proprietary rights in your posts.

Advertising and solicitations
This site is not the place for advertising, promotional materials, spam or other solicitations that is intended to generate income by members other than that approved by the site administrators/moderators.
